It was over Halloween, the annual chance to dress up and wander the streets at night, that my mind turned to Stephen King, Wal-Mart and evolution. An unnatural combination, I grant you, but I argue it was just the night for ungodly thoughts - plus, if you have to shepherd hordes of children around Ealing, you might also find a little refreshment relieves the tedium and liberates the imagination. This year I was very refreshed.
