AbstractMonod constants for growth on ammonium were determined forCandida utilisunder different growth conditions. Results indicate that values for Ksdiffered in batch and in continuous cultures. The addition of the vitamin thiamine, however, had no effect on Ks. By contrast, the maximum specific growth rate did not vary between batch and continuous cultures but was affected by the addition of the vitamin thiamine.
