摘要

This paper studied about the influence of compressive stress at notch. It is well known about the increase of initial crack growth and non-propagating crack at notch. The author found that the cause of the increase of initial crack at notch on aluminum alloy was the influence of compressive stress. Therefore in this paper the crack growth test by only compressive stress on steel and non-propagating crack test on aluminum ally were performed. As the results, it is found that the cause of the increase of initial crack at notch on aluminum alloy and non-propagating crack were the influence of compressive stress.
