According to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), the national average retail price for regular gasoline was $3.879/gal on April 25, a 3.5¢/gal increase from the April 18 price. Pump prices have now risen for five weeks in a row. Denver, Colorado's $3.589/gal was the lowest price for gasoline, while Chicago, Illinois' $4.252/gal was the highest. RFG's national average setded at $4.011/gal—a jump of 4.7¢/gal on the week. Prices in Texas and the PADD 3 (Gulf Coast) region settled at $3.768/gal, the lowest for RFG, while the highest was Chicago, IL's $4.252/gal. The EIA forecasts that regular gasoline will average $3.86/gal during the summer driving season, significanuy higher than last summer's $2.76/gal. For full-year 2011, prices are expected to average $3.70/gal, up from $2.78/gal in 2010.
