A blockade that kept Imsa's galvanizing and painting plant in Monclova closed for more than two months was finally lifted at the end of July Section 147 of the Miner's Union blockaded the plant on May 27. The plant was purchased from AHMSA last year and employs 120 workers who had decided to join a different union not affiliated with the Miner's Union, which had traditionally represented workers at AHMSA's facilities.
