In silu properties (Weibull fibre strength parameters.So and mfibre pull-out length distribution and interfacial shear strength twere determined for a 3-D woven SiC/SiC -based composite aftertensile testing up to 1380 deg. C in air and vacuum - selectedspecimens had been impregnated with a proprictary glass sealantprior to mechanical testing. Unscaled Specimens tested in vacuum andsealed specimens tested in air posessed in sity properties consistentwith superior tensile properties observed previously .
