The modulationhyphen;spectrum method which had previously been developed in the audiofrequency range for double modulation was extended to the radiofrequency range for triple modulation. The new method was applied to the case of an xhyphen;ray irradiated fused quartz, finding evidence for an inhomogeneous distribution of theErsquo;centers. In addition, a new modulation was observed, which was attributed to a noninstrumental source. Moreover, strong evidence was found for the inequivalence of magnetic field sweep and modulationhyphen;frequency sweep.
