The new version Magmasoft 4.1 offers over 100 new functions and improvements for the simulation of casting processes. The entire project management system has been newly designed and now allows the user easy access to the reference project. When a new project is being set up, the user specifies the process desired and only the information actually needed is called for. Improvements in the pre-processor help to define the casting's geometry more easily. All activities in the pre-processor can be displayed and stored in the geometry data-bank. New automatic network generation functions allow the mould and core to be distinguished even when only one casting geometry is involved. The post-processor, which represents the computation results in terms of real geometry, has been extended with numerous functions, including a control register with record cards which now makes it possible both to process the results interactively and to produce images and animations automatically.
