As a prerequisite for the evaluation of thirdhyphen; and fourthhyphen;order perturbation energies of a rotatinghyphen;vibrating polyatomic molecule, we derive here an appropriate Schroedinger equation and give a preliminary discussion of a useful contact transformation of the Hamiltonian.
