US crude exports keep growing as US crude production continues to set new records, currently 1.6MM b/d higher over the past year at 12.4MM b/d.So far this year, crude exports have been averaging just over 2.7MM b/d,up from an average of 2.0MM b/d last year, after hitting an all-time high of 3.6MM b/d in mid-Feb.April exports averaged about 2.8MM b/d,up from 2.7MM b/d in March. The demand to ship US barrels overseas shows no signs of slowing, and for good reason.Crude exports are being driven by economics because of die widening Brent-WTI spread.(See the chart in a related story,“'Political or economic advantage to help US crude exports boom?” on p.15.)Growth in crude volumes moving out of the US Gulf Coast(USGC)to international markets is only expected to continue.
