The magnetic susceptibilities of single crystals of NaMglsqb;Cr(oxalate)3rsqb;sdot;9H2O are reported over the temperature interval 40 mKndash;4.2 K. Large anisotropy is observed due to the large zerohyphen;field splitting of the4A2ground state; the parameters that fit the data are 2D/k=minus;2.45(3) K,gpar;=1.985(5),gperp;=2.035(10), and an exchange correction ofzJ/k=0.006(1) K.
