When Chinese garment makers entered the scene en masse a few years ago, quoting prices that undercut their Thai counterparts by 30-40, Anand Singjirakul, the operator of a garment factory that brought in an annual income of Baht 400 million, found himself utterly outmatched. So he set up a property company in 2005 and has already put his third offering on the residential market. Well, it's an ill wind that blows none to good.
