According to EIA's monthly "Drilling Productivity Report," oil production in the US is expected to increase by a net 56K b/d to 8.46MM b/d in June. The total amount of drilled but uncompleted wells (DUCs) in the US fell by 43 to 8,390, falling for the first time since March 2018. However, in the Permian Basin, the number of DUCs increased by 47 to 3,946. The Permian Basin is expected to increase production by 56K b/d to a total of 4.117MM b/d. For the majority of 2018, production in the region was expected to increase by 60-70K b/d each month.
