摘要

The ordinary differential equations which arise from the separation of the Schrouml;dinger equation for the hydrogen molecular ion in prolate spheroidal coordinates are investigated to find exact solutions in the form of integrals. Such solutions are found to be homogeneous Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. Appropriate kernels for the integral equations are explicitly determined and the elementary properties of the wavehyphen;equation solutions are discussed.
