The application of Wigner and Eisenbud'sRhyphen;matrix theory to chemical reactions is tested by calculation of reaction probabilities in collinear Hplus;H2collisions. Conclusions are drawn concerning resonances, statistical reaction theories, and the calculation of reaction cross sections.
