The temperaturehyphen;dependent behavior of the Mouml;ssbauer effect recoilhyphen;free fraction associated with some organotin absorbers was investigated in the temperature range of 68deg; to 330deg;K. It was tentatively found that the recoilhyphen;free fraction of119Sn in organotin compounds shows no systematic dependence on nearesthyphen;neighbor atom mass, ligand mass, molecular weight, coordination number with respect to the tin atom, macro or bulk chemical properties, isomer shift, or quadrupole splitting. The present investigation indicates, however, that a polymeric lattice structure which directly involves the119Sn atom contributes significantly to a large recoilhyphen;free fraction.
