Dion - Jacobson type compound, CsLa2NbMn2O10, containing Mn ion asa transition metal was prepared by a conventional solid statereaction for the first time. Cesium ions in this compound can beexchanged by lithium ions. Crystal structure of new compound,CsLa2NbMn2O10, was estimated by simulation of X-ray diffractionpattern. Lithium ion-exchange changes the space group of this layeredperovskite from P4/- to body-center 14/mmm.
