Subec AB, based in Saltsjo-Boo, Sweden offers various types of cable packaging machines for boxed wire. The range encompasses: Boxed Wire for boxes measuring 400 X 400 mm, and 200 to 600 mm high; jumbo Box for boxes 1200 X 1200, 650 mm high; Flexpac for boxes 1200 X 800, 650 mm high; and Coil Pac for coils 240 and 400 mm diameter, given various coil heights. There are many advantages to packing cable into boxes. Foremost among these is the fact that boxes are much easier to handle in production. The cable does not become twisted and is much more "cooperative" than cable wound on reels.
