In the United States, the Consumer Product Safety commission (CPSC) initiated 473 product recalls in 2007, mainly children's toys with "Made in China" labels and this generated special attention nationwide, Since the products had potential hazards of lead paint, choking, swallowing, cuts and strangulation. In addition, there were other item like, household, outdoor, sports and recreation and specialty items which were also recalled. This pointed out to the fact that purchasing products from untested and unproven suppliers from China or India cannot be treated in par with doing business with places such as Europe.
