Polypropylene (PP) is now one of the main synthetic polymeric materials. The chemical modification of polypropylene makes it possible to vary the chemical structure of the macromolecular chains in the necessary direction with the aim of producing products with the prescribed properties, including ion-exchange properties . Earlier, we used polypropylene fibre (PPF) to synthesise strongly and weakly acidic ion-exchange materials, studied some of their properties, examined questions of their use for the extraction of metals from water, etc.
