摘要

We saw this Crystallography in Canada edition of theIUCr newsletter as a valuable opportunity to obtain ar-ticles of Canadian crystallographic history written by"those who were there": scientists involved inthe crystallography of olden time starting in theearly 1940's to 1950's. Much of this history is notdescribed in print and would potentially be lostif not written down or recorded in some form nowor in the near future. We were more successful in thisthan we thought possible and obtained more articles than- can be published in a single edition of the IUCr Newsletter.
