It's not just agriculture that's sustainable, organic and environmentally sound at Sheepdrove farm. The buildings on this award-winning family farm in Berkshire are exactly the same. Their new on-site conference and education centre, opened in 2003, with spectacular views across rolling down land, is an idyllic place for work and enjoyment. Just as importantly, the Kindersley Centre is a perfect example of a beautiful, 'green' building that embodies all the qualities demanded of eco-friendly construction. The Kindersley family wanted "to get people on to the farm to experience natural farming systems at work...to create a truly inspiring meeting space where free thinking and new ideas can flourish." Helping them realise this vision were architects and constructors whose sensitivity to environmental and social responsibilities mirrored their own. Sustainability informs every aspect of the Kindersley Centre.
