摘要

In the film cooling of turbines the coolant is significantly cooler than the freestream. Consequently the coolant is at a higher density and this plays an important role in determining the flowfield. In laboratory experiments with small temperature differences this density difference is simulated by using dense foreign gas. This paper analyzes the effect of molecular properties on the thermal measurements so that they may be related to the cold air situation.
