Balmukund Concast is planning an expansion of its MS billets and TMT bars manufacturing unit at the village of Mahadeopur in Phulari district of Patna, Bihar on 10 acres of leased land. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 156.5 million. The expansion will entail an increase in capacity by replacing old furnaces (2 X5 TPH) with new furnaces (2X15 TPH) with continuous casting machine (CCM), MS ingots/ billets from 64,350 million tonnes per annum to 85,650 million tonnes per annum and TMT bars/rods 60,000 million tonnes per annum to 120,000 million tonnes per annum. Civil contractor belongs to the company's in-house team. Machinery has been ordered. The project is waiting for statutory clearances. The project is planned for completion in six months from zero date.
