Indonesia’s Medco Energi is close to acquiring ConocoPhillips’ 40 stake in Block B that the US major operates in the Natuna Sea offshore Indonesia, according to reports. Medco is expected to reveal the ConocoPhillips deal soon, said one sources, Reuters reported but did not get a value of the deal. ConocoPhillips said in December that it was selling its interest in the South Natuna Sea Block B. ConocoPhillips has declined to comment, while Medco did not respond to requests for comments.
