Within mining, many of us might think we have no customers. Wrong. Whether it is a distant toll smelter or an internal department, everyone has customers. And sometimes personal experience can mirror that of business.A recent article in the U.K.-based Financial Times (FT) accurately diagnosed a common problem today, albeit in the retail trade. Companies spend considerable time and money training staff, but without appropriate follow-up it is wasted effort. However, even in the business-to-business sector the same unresponsiveness can be seen.
