The second part of a series examining the IED award prize winners' projects. Peter Honeyands GradIED BSc(Hons) Computer-Aided Product Design SeaStar XI Safe Underwater Propulsion Vehicle. Peter's project concerned the design of an underwater propulsion vehicle that provided a safer, but no less enjoyable, experience than the alternative 'underwater scooters' currently available. This type of product is designed to reduce the physical exertion required for underwater exploration by pulling the user through a body of water. This helps to conserve the individual's oxygen supply, allowing them to stay underwater for longer periods of time.
