Recent developments in equipment and process designs for bar mills and high speed rod rolling mills has made possible significant improvements in size control and mill productivity, mill utilization and in thermomechanical processing capability. Through the intelligent combination of advanced rolling equipment such as Reducing/Sizing Mills, high speed shears, pinch rolls and laying heads, along with controlled temperature rolling and controlled cooling, many process improvements are possible.
