The component under evaluation was the first stage blade of a 85 MW power plant gas turbine (MW 701 B), with the gas inlet temperature of 1000 °C and also the first stage blades temperature of 800 °C (according to the technical information [1,2]). The whole turbine consists of four stages of nozzles and blades. The blade is made of nickel-base UDIMET 520 super-alloy by means of forging and with MCrAlY coating. The nominal composition of this alloy is given in Table 1. The blades are cooled by convection system through cooling channels in longitudinal section of the blades. The consuming fuel of the unit has been gasoline for 4 months of the year and for the left 8 months natural gas has been consumed. The evaluation was carried out after 23,872 h under operation of the gas turbine in mode of base load with about 183 cycles of start-ups and shut-downs during this period [1-3].
