Oasis Hong Kong Airlines is breaking new ground as a low-fare, long-haul carrier that is offering the same level of service one would expect from a traditional airline. Still in the first year of operations, it has experienced higher than expected demand and, impressively, financially broke even in March -just five months after starting services. The airline was co-founded by Stephen Miller, who is Chief Executive Officer (he also formed Hong Kong-based Dragonair), and Rev Raymond Lee, the company's Chairman. Speaking to AIR International, Rev Lee explained how he wanted the airline to make frequent long-haul travel accessible to everyone. He also stated the guiding principles behind the carrier and its ambition: "To be able to provide a high-quality service, affordable fares and direct flights from Hong Kong to all the major cites of the world."
