摘要

Two new species of oribatid mites, Oribatella paraumaetluisorum sp. n. and Taiwanoppia nepalica sp. n., are described from Nepal. The genera Oribatella and Taiwanoppia are recorded from this country for the first time.The oribatid fauna (Acari, Oribatida) of Nepal is examined insufficiently (Sheals, 1965; Piffl, 1971; Niedbala, 1982; Nubel-Reidelbach and Woas, 1992, etc.). In the acarological material collected during the Himalayan expedition in 1983, provided by thesecond author of the present paper, new oribatid species of the genera Oribatella s. str. Banks, 1895 (Oribatellidae) and Taiwanoppia s. str. Tseng, 1982 (Oppiidae) were revealed; these species are described below.The genus Oribatella comprises 130 species and 2 subspecies and is spread worldwide (Subias, 2004, online version 2013). Representatives of this genus were not known from the fauna of Nepal. The diagnosis of the genus Oribatella keys to its species fromdifferent regions were given by Krivolutsky (1975), Balogh and Balogh (1990, 2002), Weigmann (2006), Shtanchaeva and Subias (2009), Bayartogtokh (2011), Behan-Pelletier (2011), Behan-Pelletier and Walter (2012), and Ermilov and Anichkin (2012).
