In June, ferromolybdenum (65-70% Mo) has fallen in price by an average of 6% m-o-m in Europe, to $37.0-37.2/kg Mo FCA Rotterdam. Such a notable decline in European quotations for FeMo has resulted from the reduction in its consumption by producers of stainless and special steel. By Metal Expert.s estimates, European steelmakers worked at 65-70% of their capacity in June against 80-85% in May.

7. Commodity prices have risen sharply since 2006. This may benefit developing countries specialized on primary exports, but poverty may increase. Uruguay is a net exporter of primary products and a net importer of oil.
