BAY OF PLENTY—As the New Zealand kiwifruit industry continues its recovery from Psa, Zespri looks poised to capitalise on favourable export conditions in Europe this season.0espri has forecast a steady rise in the volume of gold kiwifruit available for export this season. The 2014 New Zealand harvest got underway in late March, with Zespri chief executive Lain Jager suggesting up to 17m trays of gold fruit could be harvested, including around 9m trays of the Golds variety, marketed as Zespri SunGold. This estimate is up on the 11m gold trays harvested last season.
