In the last few years, South African onions have increasingly found favour with European retailers but the country also presents vast potential to export a range of vegetables. South Africa's leading onion exporter, Dutoit Vegetables, has confirmed another record year in its onion shipments to EU destinations and Africa. In all, the company exported 12,000 tonnes, which represents more than 80 per cent of total South African onion exports.
