Topfruit marketer Orchard World is rolling out a new concept pear orchard after achieving strong results with similar apple initiatives. The need to bring fresh innovation into the pear market and boost sales through better-tasting fruit is a subjectof ongoing interest to Europe's topfruit sector, but one which has been, to an extent, restricted by pressure on prices and increasing production costs. However, leading UK topfruit marketer Orchard World believes it has found a viable answer. The company is cultivating a new concept orchard for pears, after a highly successful similar project for apples.
