摘要

The current research attempts an empirical study of flood impact in western Maharashtra,as well as reasons and solutions. The flood catastrophe in western Maharashtra's most likely causes.Flooding has been severe in the Krishna-Panchganga Region in the years 2005,2006,2019,and 2021 in the latter part of July and August.Floods appear to be occurring with increasing frequency from one year to the next. They cause significant property damage and,in some situations, result in fatalities. It is also important to note that floods are worsened by both human and natural activities.Natural disasters such as floods can have a devastating effect on the lives of people and property. In order to provide an emergency team,we need an accurate flood assessment of the affected area after the event.Floods in Kolhapur and Sangli cost £ 700 crore($ 94,290,000).Damage to electrical infrastructure totalled 1,200 crore($ 16,16,40,000),and damage roads and bridges exceeded 1,500 crore($ 202,050,000).Crops on 338,000 hectares in western Maharashtra and the Konkan were destroyed.State relief encompasses all aspects impacted by broadening the scope of prescribed regulations.Maharashtra is currently dealing with two disasters:floods and an ongoing epidemic.Floods endanger the health of patients being treated in hospitals,Covid care centres, and at home isolation. Both rural and urban areas were affected equally. The situation in Kolhapur and Sangli was dire, and those in better condition were relocated to safer areas. Some serious cases have been transferred to city hospitals to ensure patient safety and extra care.
