The board of Karoon Gas Australia has approved the development concept for the Echidna light oil discovery offshore Brazil – pushing the project into the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase. The Echidna development concept consists of: a leased Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility; two extended horizontal production wells and one gas injection well; expected peak production is around 28,000 b/d (14,000 b/d per well).
