Spin dynamics of the ferromagnetic transition in iron mixed-valence complexes, (n-CnH2n+1)(4)N(FeFeIII)-Fe-II(dto)(3) (dto = C2O2S2, n=3-5) by mu SR
We have investigated the ferromagnetic transition in iron mixed-valence complexes, (n-CnH2n+1)(4)N(FeFeIII)-Fe-II(dto)(3) (dto = C2O2S2, n = 3-5) by means of mu SR measurements. The sharp drop of initial asymmetry and the strong enhancement of depolarization rate around 20 K prove the development of the ferromagnetic ordering state in n = 3-5. Moreover, the decoupling process by the longitudinal-field muon spin relaxation (mu SR) shows the existence of strong internal magnetic field for all the complexes. On the other hand, there are not any muon spin precession signals in high-resolution time spectra, which suggests the existence of disorder in the ferromagnetic ordering state for these complexes.
