Royal Dutch Shell and Italy's Eni are keeping their cards close to the chest with regard to plans to retrieve the controversial deepwater OPL 245 license in Nigeria. The block was returned to Abuja by a federal court in January at the request of Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), pending an investigation into the seller, former oil minister Dan Etete (IOD Jan 27'17).
