Despite a long, hot, dry summer, machinery sales in the first quarter of the year have been good.Healthy first-quarter tractor sales have defied the odds, getting the year off to a solid start. There were 2284 tractors delivered in the first quarter of the year, a slight rise of 0.3% on the same time last year.The sales figures were collected by Agriview and its managing director, Alan Kirsten, said the results were a littlesurprising.
