摘要

The principal application for longwalling and mining with shearer loaders is obviously the underground coal mining industry. Other applications of shearer loaders include, but are not limited to, the mining of minerals such as potash, salt, phosphate and trona. What the operators of all mines where such products are extracted have in common, is the objective to be provided with appropriate means enabling them to calculate their production costs reliably and to bring them down to a level where their products can be sold with profit at the prices dictated by the world market.
