The report has received some criticism, with several notable commentators questioning both the methodology and subsequent conclusions. Most of these criticisms appear to be around the strength of causality attributed to findings from mainly epidemiology studies, which show associations, not cause and effect. The resulting recommendations seem, to the critics, unjustifiable and extreme.
