A new tabletop system from the Zwick Roell Group is said to speed up and cut the cost of fatigue testing smaller components and structures. The Vibrophore Amsler HFP5100 owes its performance to an electromagnetic, rather than servo hydraulic, drive for applying loads. This feature enables fatigue tests to be carried out at frequencies two to three times higher than equivalent servo hydraulic systems.
