The new hot rolling mill of Aleris Aluminium Koblenz GmbH has been in operation since the beginning of this year. With its technological features it is the most modern that exists in the field of hot rolling today. The plant not only eliminates existing production bottlenecks, but also enables still better qualities and new types of products. According to Alfred Haszler, President of Aleris Rolled and Extruded Products in Europe. the 160" rolling mill lays the foundations for a successful future. The idea behind it is Aleris' intention to expand in the field of aluminium aviation products and to strengthen further the company's market position in that globally orientated business characterised by ever-increasing competition.
