摘要

How can the aluminium recycling industry attain convincing results in a very short time with the lowest possible level of emissions? Application engineers from Linde AG, Linde Gas Division, addressed this question and developed a cost-saving and environmentally-friendly remelting furnace system.In co-operation with the companies Hertwich Engineering GmbH and Corus Aluminium Voerde GmbH, engineers at Linde Gas have developed a new generation of rotatable and tiltable smelting furnaces for secondary aluminium extraction - URTF (Universal Rotary Tiltable Furnace) technology. In this joint venture, the individual expertise and knowledge of these three partners were combined to allow the creation of the best possible product. The first process operation to apply this furnace technology was Stena Aluminium AB from Sweden, one of the leading recycling companies in Europe.
