摘要

In the cation of the title salt, C20H19N2O+#183;Br#8722;, the phenyl rings are inclined to one another by 38.38#8197;(8)#176;, whereas the central phenyl ring and the pyridiniminium ring are almost perpendicular with a dihedral angle of 87.37#8197;(9)#176;. The N+#61;C cationic double bond was verified by the shortened bond length of 1.337#8197;(2)#8197;#197;. In the crystal, the Br#8722; anion is linked to the cation by an N#8212;H#8943;Br hydrogen bond. C#8212;H#8943;O hydrogen bonds link adjacent pyridiniminium cations into inversion dimers with an R22(18) graph-set motif. These dimers are stacked in a phen#173;yl#8211;phenyl T-shaped geometry through C#8212;H#8943;#960; inter#173;actions. A Hirshfeld surface analysis was conducted to verify the contributions of the different inter#173;molecular inter#173;actions.
