摘要

IN THE WAKE of the Fukushima nuclear crisis in Japan, Germany announced plans to shut all 17 nuclear reactors by 2022. This could give a significant boost to Poland's coal sector while also prompting the European Union to reevaluate its climate change package. Germany will become the first major economy to quit nuclear power following the earthquake that damaged the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan. "From Poland's point of view, this is a good thing, not a bad one," Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said. "It means coal-based power will be back on the agenda."
