A 'Best Value' review of the development control function of the Peak District National Park Authority resulted in an Action Plan, agreed in February 2001. It is intended that progress on the Action Plan will be reported quarterly, and progress on implementing the Action Plan as a whole will be reviewed on an annual basis. The tasks listed for work this year were: Promoting understanding of development control; Revised arrangements for consultation with Parish Councils; Comparison with other authorities; Monitoring Best Value Action Plan; Review communication within the Team; Time recording; Monitoring performance indicators; Review presentation to Committee; Input to other Best Value Reviews; and a new computer system.
