The president of the POS, Steve Quartermain, attended the POS Minerals and Waste Committee meeting on 29 June and asked the committee to think about its top five or six issues for the coming year. The issue of Reg 3 applications for county developments and the new 1App online system was still unresolved. Hampshire was quoted as an example of an authority that was dealing with its own applications online. It is understood that the Association of London Borough Planning Officers was requesting that the mandatory implementation date of 1 October 2007 for lApp be put back. The new online system depends on the arrangements for validation of documents.
