摘要

The CGES now expects global oil demand in 2009 to fall by 0.7 mbpd. Demand for oil from within the OECD has delivered in each of the last three years. Over the same period, the developing world's demand for oil has risen. In 2006 and 2007, the growth of oil demand in the developing world, most notably in the booming economies of China, India and the Middle East, more than made up for the declines seen in OECD consumption. This year demand growth in the developing world will not be sufficient to offset the decline seen in the OECD.
